Millan Board

Milan board of directors have a wealth of experience in community matters as well as a good understanding of the issues and barriers effecting our community of interest.  The Board are an integral part of Milan and are instrumental in shaping Milan to where it is today through sheer commitment and passion for the elderly South Asian communities and unpaid carers.  The board work together to ensure
our  elderly are kept actively engaged and involved in their communities.  
 
According to Milan’s  articles and memorandum the maximum number of management committee shall be nine but not less than four and that  the members of Management Committee shall elect a Chairperson, Vice chairperson, secretary and Treasurer to hold office for 2 years.  The board members are elected through voting by paid members of the Organisation.
 
Our current board for 2024/25 are as follows:

The board remain active in conducting quarterly Board meetings and monthly sub meetings to ensure that we continue to deliver an excellent range and valuable services to improve the lives and make positive differences in the lives of the people  we support.  The board work hard towards remaining transparent and compliant to the Charity commission, Care Inspectorate and our stakeholders. Annual financial statements  are published in annual reports for our supporters and stakeholders to view. The statements include a detailed analysis of our financial performance as well as staff reports which gives an overview of our aims and achievements.
The Board work together towards a vision of a society where everyone can live a fulfilled life.
